Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

The family and I just drove through your area a few weeks ago on our big CA road trip. Too bad it wasn't for sale then or I would have been tempted to drive it home - would have been a lot more pleasant that flying!

Nice pics, I was at my cabin to beat the heat. I actually go there every father's day. It was hot but not as hot as it was in Vacaville.

Dave, I’m sure it would make it. sounds like we were on opposite sides of the country. Wish I was out here when you were nearby, could have hung out. I also had it on my list to try and pass through your neck of the woods when i drove across the country in spring. Just always was a bit further south. I’ll try and say hi when I visit our son in Nashville next time.

Yea, I noticed that you were here when we were there so I didn't bother contacting you. We probably drove nearby to your place on our way from Yosemite to Bodega Bay, we drove through the Napa and Sonoma areas.

When I get time, I'll post pics from my trip on here.

Stop by my place anytime.

Did you “test drive it” while you were in Arkansas?

Nice purchase!

I got to see this truck in person at the C10 Nationals, it's amazing how nice that original paint is.

I think the song is more like
‘Easy come Easy go’

I had several k trucks in Arizona
When I sold that property
The trucks were sold too

The 4x4 Suburban was a match to Billy Bob
Same color exterior and well as interior
Pretty close to same condition

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

I just mentioned it in passing
That I’d be interested in buying it
If it ever came available

The rest just fell in place after I left Arkansas

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

I was just scrounging around in the glovebox

This truck was actually sold in Reno NV
To its new home in Susanville, Ca
Then it looks like it spent some time
In Gold Country in the mid 80’s

I wasn’t expecting that

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

Putting the paperwork back, this fell out of the drivers manual
Crazy, 50 years and several states/owners
It ends up back an hour from where it was built
And 3 hours from where it was sold

How cool is that

I used to find trucks with documentation in the glove box all the time
These days it is, Rare

Wow !

There is some interesting stuff in that glove box. I found the 4X4 instructions stuck to the back of the passenger door pillar.

Another Hallman comes home to roost. Fremont to Reno to the Gold Country. She has spent 51 years here, probably not leaving anytime soon!
