Greetings From South Mississippi

I joined a while back and am enthused about posting here. I've got a '66 stepside that I want to repair/upgrade but since I have soooo many other projects and hobbies, its gonna take a while. It is pretty much stock at the moment with a straight six and three speed on the column. Its a pretty solid truck though with a little rust in the doors and the front of the hood. Other than that, its all good.

Hey down there, from north MS. Looks like you have a good solid truck to work with!

Re: Greetings From South Mississippi

Thanks. I've posted a "Plan of Action" in the '60 to '66 Projects and Builds section if you're interested. I procured an '87 square body for donor purposes and plan to use some of the parts off it for upgrades. I'm mostly aiming to get it back on the road with somewhat better equipment than it came with from the factory.

I took a look at y'alls trucks. Very, very nice. I'm not sure if I could ever put that much effort in my truck but... never say never.

Fun in Dirt, I see you guys try to make it to Cruisin the Coast. That is a really fun time around here. I do a little drag racing and the team finals always happen on the weekend before Cruisin so it's a rush to get home afterwards. This year team finals took place at Holly Springs Raceway all the way up north. Not sure if its in your neck of the woods but it is a very cool drag strip.
