I used stair thread anti skid from Ace Hardware. They have it in bulk and cut to fit. Hind sight is 20/20 I would of made it a bit wider. Cost like $10? See pic.

Seats are 2013 VW GTI. Bought the pair at a some what local salvage yard for $350. Super nice seats. Recline and vertical adjustment. When I got them they were as in the pic kind of a dark gray with plaid inserts. Didn't really match the interior so I colored them black with fabric paint. Turned out great.
