Re: rear view mirrors

Originals are hard to find in good shape, most of them are cloudy or the silver is flaking off, i would go the re-pop route on this part. Just my 2-cents. Joseph

Re: rear view mirrors

Classic parts has the glue on original design for $39.95, and it even comes with the glue. They have other styles also. You could get them from probly any vendor though. I just mentioned classic parts because thats who i order through. It seems they have the best prices on parts, great service, and fast shipping. Joseph

Re: rear view mirrors

I got a glue on one for my 67 from a 91 Caprice. It has a compass & courtesy lights in it that I rigged to come on when the doors are opened.

Re: rear view mirrors

I got the ones for my truck(s) from an Astro Van. No extra gadgets like mentioned above, but a good cheap mirror.

Not to hijack the thread but how did you run power up there?

I bought a really fine gauge of four wires together "ganged" together flat & I ran the wire up to the top of the windshield, tucked it inside the windshield gasket along the top, down the side and down into the dash. You cant see it unless you are looking for it & you can get away with the thin wires because the light & compass use their own individual wires for power & use very little amperage.
