Temp Gauge Question.
Is there away to test a factory temperature gauge to make sure its working properly before installing it in my truck ?

Water boils at 212 degrees… you could rig something up in the engine compartment and tap into wires at firewall plug if gauge is in dash already. Connect wire(s) - what kind of gauge? - and put sender in a can, add hot water. A thermometer in can will let you compare gauge reading to temp as it cools. Have fun!

If you've got an extra ceramic resistor available (the type that's used with the temp and fuel gauges) then you can use it to simulate the resistance of the temp sender.
