Here are a few I have found over the years.
I have a Don Wheaton truck from Edmonton. Dealership opened in 1964 and still in operation today. Sometime in the 60’s they went from the sticker to pot metal emblem.

Re: Dealer Emblems and Stickers

OK, I'll take a shot at this. For years I have been looking for a dealer emblem for my 57 Chevy 210 that was sold new at Earl Hayes Chevrolet in Dallas TX. You can see the imprint of it on the trunk where it used to be. The emblem just said "Earl Hayes, Dallas". Does anyone out there have one they would like to sell? Thanks.

Re: Dealer Emblems and Stickers

I reproduced the first Bickerstaff decal for our build (it's correct for our era). A friend who helped me find a quality example to duplicate recently ran across a few "NOS" examples of the late '70s version (3rd pic) and sent me one.

Re: Dealer Emblems and Stickers

I find it comical how a lot of folks disparage auto dealers but wax longingly about the decals and badges all these years later.

I'll go ahead and add one I have on a truck. "Lenger Chevrolet" from Warrensburg, Mo. Their moto back in the 70's was "Come in and Lenger awhile".

Re: Dealer Emblems and Stickers

Story goes my truck was bought in Denver by a pilot who lived in Portland Oregon. The Trans Western Airline parking sticker is still on the windshield. Not sure when the truck made it's way to B.C.

Re: Dealer Emblems and Stickers

I don't think my pickup got badges or stickers, just this little advertisement on the back end.

GEO. PHARIS CHEVROLET HEARNE, TEXAS (1968)

Bumper was made in Seguin by D&D. Mr. Pharis moved his Chevy dealership to Sugar Land in '69, which eventually became Bill Heard and then Classic Chevrolet.

I have a dealer bumper from Carlisle Chevrolet in Waxahachie TX. A previous owner painted it black at some point and I would like to paint it silver (like I remember seeing them when I was a kid). What paint did you use on yours?

Thanks

Re: Dealer Emblems and Stickers

This emblem is on both sides of the cowl on my '72... Truck came from Texas, and I did find a Winnsboro in Texas, but couldn't find that dealer...

Re: Dealer Emblems and Stickers

Not an emblem, but I did find this under the seat of my truck when I was tearing it apart for the first time. I believe it's the dealer it was purchased from new. (I got the truck from the original owner who lived in N. Dakota)

I'd love to hear more about this dealership if anyone knows anything...

The body shop made the call on the bumper paint. It is base/clear and it’s a GM silver paint that is that shop’s go-to for wheels, etc. but I can’t remember the name, so I’ll have to get back to you on that. They said they did some grinder work on the edges of the bumper first, as the welds were not very tidy to begin with.

Lots of GM wheels were painted Argent Silver.
Eastwood sells this, along with others.

I have a buddy that is from Winnsboro, Texas. It is very near Sherman, Texas but not nearly as large as Sherman. I'll ask him if he knows anything about this dealership.

Not sure on how to get a sticker made... But I sold this takeoff tailgate a while back. Thought you might find it interesting.

Re: Dealer Emblems and Stickers

1969 c10 bought (or possibly traded for work) by my Great Grandpa from Huckabay Chevrolet in Midland, TX. Sticker is on the tailgate. Really wishing I could find pics of the old dealership or other memorabilia, but so far nothing has popped up online.

Slight side track here but, Would you mind if I used the info on that build sheet to add to our build date project?
