steering column - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I have 3 automatic steering columns. 2 have a black gear indicator housing and 1 has a chrome housing. Did the chrome housing come on 1 of the trim packages or a certain year, or is it an add on?

I think 67-70 used silver metal indicator and 71 & 72 used black plastic
