Re: What does your screen name mean?

Palf is the beginning of the many letters in my last name and what many folks called me during my time with the military. The last part was because I had a 70 stepside when I joined in 2002. I didn't think real hard for it. I guess the only thing that doesn't apply any more is I have an 81 instead of a 70.

Re: What does your screen name mean?

Mine means pretty much what it says. I have a 51 2dr that I tried to buy from the original owner when I was 15, he said no and I ended up with a 51 convertible. I ended up buying it years later through his estate from his grandson. I drive it to a few shows now and then as I''m now 78 years young. Here are a couple pictures

Re: What does your screen name mean?

Mine came to me somewhere in the early 90's. I had bought a set of old saddlebags that had Yes written on the back of the left bag and NO on the back of the right. Friends in my riding group started calling me Mongo. I had to go back and watch Blazing Saddles again to understand why.

Re: What does your screen name mean?

Mine is from a saying of you know who

My Daddy passed several years before joining this Great Forum.

When I was thinking about a Screen Name.

I remembered the last time My Daddy was (authentically) laughing,

Was,
When I bought a CD of the Blue Collar Tour for him to watch,

And everytime Larry would tell a joke and say His famous line

My Daddy would ( Laugh out Loud)

Re: What does your screen name mean?

I am enjoying hearing the origin of all of these personalized names. I ran across another one over in square body land. glowacky, if you see this, I'd really like to know what it means, haha.

Dan, you just upstaged my name quest, but made this whole thread worthwhile. I wish you and your estrogen-fest the best. Sorry, just had to say that because of all the rhyming, but I really like that you are happy and proud of your wife, daughters, grandchildren, and rigs.

That car was relatively new when you tried to buy it, and still looks like it is new.

LOL, only 3 left. The others are all married, self sufficient and make more money than me! They take care of me now. Funny though, we had a small house with unfinished second floor and only one bathroom when they were young. Now THAT was a challenge.

Re: What does your screen name mean?

I hear ya Happy_Dan. My wife (from south) thought that was so weird with all the single bathroom homes up in western PA where I am from. The biggest fear we had growing up (4 sisters, mom, me and dad) was Sunday morning when you saw dad walk from living room down the hall. You knew the throne was not usable for several hours!

Re: What does your screen name mean?

Cayoterun: Living in the flat, treeless Oklahoma panhandle most of my life on the old family farm/ranch, we didn't pen our cows to calf. They calved in the pastures. During calving season, we'd drive the pastures looking for new borns and Mamas. Sometimes a calf-killing cayote would get in the neighborhood and kill-eat the new born. When they did, it was all out war on cayotes in the neighborhood. Our pastures are pretty flat and several acres in each pasture. When we saw a cayote near the cow and calf from a distance, I'd pour the coal to the old pickup, stick the 12 ga shotgun loaded with buckshot out the drivers window, run up beside it and put it down. Several times a friend would be with me, and have said "Boy, that thing (cayote) sure can run". Soo, when I needed a screen name, that came to my mind.
