4x4 hub ????

I'm trying to get a 1/2 ton non-unlocking hub apart. Itook the cover off, pushed the collar in & got the snap ring & spring off. There is a spring loaded clip on the outer part of the hub, but that won't come out. Also, if I push the inner locking collar in & rotate it, I can push the flat clips outward, but that's it. What needs to be done to get this apart. My 4x4's are all K20's with locking hubs which come apart easily.......Thanks............Zoomy

If it was like my 86 I had one H__l of a time. I had to use a small screwdriver to pry a locking pin out. Then when I was finished I could not get them back in. I went and got a set of warn hubs. You really had to look inside of them to find the last locking ring.

i dont believe he's talking about hubs at all, i believe he's talking about drive flanges, as in full time 4x4.

when i first got my truck it had those on it. they were silver/chrome circles whit a spring on the back. there were 2 snap rings on mine. i used some carb cleaner to blast the crusty greas out of there so i could find them. then i used a small screw driver to take that little gear out. if that is what your talking about
