Brake Booster...confused and frustrated

Looking for a solid solution to this. I have searched and read everything on this site and cant come to a solid conclusion.

I want to install a flush mount booster to my 71 C10. I converted to a 7/8" master and disks all around. I have a floor shifter, so no issue there.

I have read that there are some applications to source the booster(s) from, but that is where the discussion gets VERY confusing.

Without using a bracket, what boosters (stock application and booster size) will flush mount to the 71 C10 firewall and not interfere with the steering column? what needs to be done to the pushrod to accommodate?

I don't know of one you can flush mount to the firewall but CaptainFab makes a bracket that gets it darn close:

If it's a "flush mount" you want, it will be a complete fabrication job, as there are none that will bolt directly to the firewall.
