Fuel tank relocation

I'm going to replace my in cab tank, was considering the LMC relocation kit with the 21 gallon tank. Fairly certain I'll never replace motor to an LS series motor, anyone and feedback/thoughts on the LMC kit? Thanks in advance, B.

Re: Fuel tank relocation

I had and fit one in my truck, I did not like how visible it was from behind the truck. I went with a Boyd tank and painted the back black, if I had painted the LMC tank I may have not noticed it as much.

Re: Fuel tank relocation

Do yourself a favor and delete LMC from your bookmarks and throw the catalog out.
Performanceonline.com sells a real nice 19 gallon aluminum baffled tank for a reasonable price.
I installed one 3 years ago. Nice tank and angles toward back so it doesn’t look like a bubble hanging below the truck.

Re: Fuel tank relocation

Trouble with that is Lmc does have odd bits other shops dont carry

Front parking brake cable for example i have only seen it offered elsewhere if you buy a new parkbrake peddle

Thanks for your advice, but I've owned these trucks for over 30 years and have bought from LMC hundreds of times without any issues or problems. Most of their body parts are the same ones everyone else carries and have same issues. Today's parts are better than they were just a ouple years ago. I buy most of my body panels from Coopers Restorations now,but hate the web site and no catalog. Best advice on buying parts is to no the what to expect. Thats why I made the post because I have seen one of the kits yet

Re: Fuel tank relocation

What are you guys using for fuel lines once you have relocated the tank in the rear. I have a 69' C20. Or do you know of some threads that would help? Thanks

Re: Fuel tank relocation

1st one was out of a late 70s burb
I used to have this in my 68 until it leaked

New one 90s burb tank i ordered it from napa i have a set of suburbon tank cross members i scrounged years past probably from the same truck i got the first tank from

I am going to say 96 i ordered it to be able to fit a standard fuel sender or fit a 96 97 burb vortec fuel pump sender setup as i was going to put a vortec injection setup on my 72 before i changed my mind to go carb instead

I will probably order a second one this winter as i have a low rider i am going to build with a 99 vortec 350
I would like to go ls but i have a low milage vortec 350

You can look at smaller tanks as well
I believe 25 30 40 gallon are some of the range in these trucks
