Re: v8 in 6cyl mounts what headers will work

I installed a basic set of Hedman full length headers with 1.5" primary tubes in my old '67 C10 SWB about 25 years ago. I had swapped the 6cyl for a V8, so the V8 was in the 6cyl position. The headers fit just fine. This was with an automatic transmission.

I used Summit SUM-G9006-SS stainless headers. They work fine with my SBC 350 in the I6/4X4 SBC position and 700R4/350TH.

thanks for the reply.. i was going to pull the exhaust manifolds off and order the headers but i broke 3 bolts off in the head. i could not get the back one out because the engine is so far back. i pulled the engine out... now when i put it back in i am going to put it back in the v8 location.. easy header swap turned into headers cam intake carb radiator and powersteering good thing i sell truck parts ...
