Re: Should I cut this truck ?

Going to keep it? It is yours, make it what you want. If selling is probable in future leave it alone. Then again if you are doing most of the work yourself. You may come out okay depending on how much you value your time.

Re: Should I cut this truck ?

No way would I vote (or elect) to cut one of these trucks.. If it's a short bed you want, sell it and use the money to buy a short bed... Unless your truck is a pos wrapped in silk, it would bring good money over here in Texas..

Great looking truck! How about the mandatory SPID picture? As for hacking it down, Sawzall blades are cheap!

Re: Should I cut this truck ?

I’d frame swap that thing in a second.
But I’d build a new short fleet side bed for it from reproduction sheetmetal.

Re: Should I cut this truck ?

I'm not opposed to cutting down longbeds to short beds, using whatever method. But I would not cut THAT truck down. There are plenty of non-descript nothing special longbed trucks out there and any part you need to make it appear as a Cheyenne Super. It wouldn't matter that the truck wasn't a factory Cheyenne Super since it's already not a factory shortbed. Might as well add a 402 while your at it. Right now that truck has a value as a factory Cheyenne Super longbed. There are plenty of truck enthusiasts with minds opened to longbeds who will always appreciate the trucks for what they were from the factory... even basic non-descript ones. But there were far more of those built and they have a lower sale value.

That picture shows a fine example of a great looking black with parchment interior Cheyenne Super. That other picture shows yet another dime a dozen chopped and slammed big wheel shortbed. Dare to be different by doing nothing. Simple and right
