Slots look perfect…

Ive been holding onto these 15” slots for a while waiting to put them on. Got some new BfG’s installed today and had them mounted. I think they look perfect on this truck. Need to polish them up some still

Yes sir. The best! I like them dull like that as much (or more) as polished. And wide. Are those 10"? They don't need no stinkin' center caps either.

Re: Slots look perfect…

Love the look of those old school slots. Had a similar set on a '65 Impala SS with a 300/327 4 speed combo. Boy I regret selling that car years ago. Those look great just as they are, I'm with Tim, dull with no center caps.

4x4 stepper with slots? I’d drive that every day of the week and twice on Sunday. Looks great as is.

Re: Slots look perfect…

Looks sweet! Have a set of US Mags 17x10's going on my truck when finished. Have a brand new set of 15x10 MT Challengers (slot mag ish) I was saving and going to use until I went 8 lug. Love the slot mags on these trucks.

Re: Slots look perfect…

Super cool slots, I like them unpolished myself.

Yours appear to be the "kidney bean" shape, which is classic.

Who is the manufacturer of those things?

Re: Slots look perfect…

Cool truck and the wheels look good. The word patina gets used a lot, but I think that it originates with a surface like your wheels that has some oxidation. I like to use Griot's metal cleaner for things that I want to have clean but not necessarily polished. It does a little cleaning and adds just a little sheen. Does a nice job on carburetors when you don't want to use carb cleaner on the outside and wash all the coloring off. It also leaves a bit of a protective film.

Anybody have any pics of some that have been powder coated light machine grey or off white? I've been thinking of doing a set I have that are in pretty rough shape.

Re: Slots look perfect…

The the satin (the OG was machined raw) look 1st: Strong acid cleaner & SCOTCH BRITE & gloves. Rinse them plenty & wait 'till they dry to see f they need more love. GREEN Scotch brite may do. but RED will really cut. Etching primer & semi gloss black for the slot windows.

Love the slots, pulled the center caps out, because mine were terrible!
Thinking about painting the hubs... red.
Anyone done a offset color on theirs?
