Street Machine Nationals in St.Paul MN
Any body going? It's a great show. I think 2019 7000 cars. We will be there rain or shine.

Re: Street Machine Nationals in St.Paul MN
I have plans to be there, cant bring the truck this year though. i agree it is a great show. i missed 2019, but my wife and i had been going for many years prior.
Hopefully more of the big vendors show up again, the car and truck related ones. i'm less interested in the home improvement stuff that was there in 2018, we have the state fair for that. looking forward to next weekend!!

Re: Street Machine Nationals in St.Paul MN
We are going, spectators this year. Missed last but have been going to many of the earlier years. Also hopefully there is more big vendors, car/truck apparel only!

Re: Street Machine Nationals in St.Paul MN
Never been and can't go this year, but from what I have seen so far this year is everything is bouncing back with a vengeance. Should be a great show. Enjoy!!

Re: Street Machine Nationals in St.Paul MN
Too bad that you can’t make it, it’s a great location, lots of trees. The fair grounds has a lot of acreage. Chassis dyno, burn out competition and hopefully a lot of vendors?

Re: Street Machine Nationals in St.Paul MN
We've been going since it was the Car Craft Summer Cruise with various hot rods. As said lots of shade. This year you can reserve spots ahead of time for $25? per spot. They are 20 foot wide so it should be easy to fit two cars. A car buddy of ours reserved 3 spots for us and other car buddies. Should be fun. Weather is going to be sunny in the mid 80's.

Re: Street Machine Nationals in St.Paul MN
Im sure Ive said this before ... When we were kids just outta HS a few of us drove down to Sacramento (Cal Expo Fairgrounds?) a few times for the Car Craft Street Machine Nationals West.
Long before the internet lol. We lived and breathed Hot Rod, Car Craft, Popular Hot Rodding, Street Rodder and on and on. Those magazine cars were just a dream in our pod dunk small town heads =) When we got there we piled in to the hotel room very late, long asz drive lol, and we were almost too pumped to sleep even though we had just driven around 800 miles. We got up the next day not to an alarm, but someone rolling their 57 Chevy with a noisy (but very cool to us at the time) gear drive. So many awesome cars out there in the parking lot. And when we got to the fairgrounds so many cars that we had seen in the magazines. It was quite and experience for a few guys barely out of HS that lived about 40ish miles N of Seattle. Id love to go again to one of the National events, but driving long distances these days just kills my old man body haha.

This years show is a good one, there are less vendors, but a lot of cars & trucks. A great variety too.
Here’s a few pics

Re: Street Machine Nationals in St.Paul MN
It was a great show. Weather was great. More cars than ever from what I could tell. The reserved spots worked out great. I'd spend the extra $25 in a minute.
Getting into the main entrance was a bit of a mess on Saturday morning. Couple of our car buddies sat in line for over an hour. |
