Time estimate 1/8 mile...

My 65 swb. No weight reduction, 26" tire, 3.73/700r4 25-2800 stall w/lockup.
Engine stock deck 361 .060 sbc comp 280h straight up, patriot vortec 185cc 2.02/1.60 64 chambers, kb -8cc pistons, 5.7 rods 3.480 stroke, 1.625" long tube ceramic headers, 2.5" xpipe through 10 series flows. Trying to get an idea what to expect from my local track before I go.

Re: Time estimate 1/8 mile...

I'd be more than pleased with that... If I get my hands on my old truck another 65 I plan on making it a racer. 5:34 gear, glide with 3500 stall 28-10.5 drag radials and possibly this same motor if I go ls in my street truck.. But more compression, bigger cam!

What kind of 26" tire? Slicks? Drag radials? Street radials? Not trying to burst any bubbles here, but my guess is, if it hooks, somewhere around 9.40s.

Drag radials. Bfg. Hey even mid 9's if be happy for a driver. It's not a race truck just want to know so your not bursting any bubbles.

Re: Time estimate 1/8 mile...

Considering most street vehicles run an 'average' of around 4.5 to 5 seconds between the 1/8th and 1/4... And most drivers run in the high 13s to 14's,,, I think 9's are very attainable if traction is there.
