I am not sure what you are describing, do you have a picture you can post. Can say I have ever heard of a knee bolster on a steering wheel.

I think she's looking for this lower dash piece that fits under the column called knee blocker, knee bolster, etc..

is that what you're looking for? color? year? I think a/c trucks may have a vent there but not sure..
