Exterior trim decal removal

Hello all hope everyone is well and elbows deep in their projects.

I have a 72 gmc c15, the lower trim has the wood trim decal. What is the easiest, smartest safest way (so not to ruin the stainless) to remove the old dried cracked faded decal? Also has anyone ever dealt with installing new decal ? I ordered this from LMC does it work well or is there a glue needed ?
Thanks for any info
Shaun

Re: Exterior trim decal removal

#m makes a woodgrain remover and a second part woodgrain adhesive remover. I assume they still do it has been a few years since I have used it. When you have been doing this long as I have stuff comes and goes. I've had my shop since 1987. Jim
