Will a late model 8' bed fit on a 70-72 frame?

I have a chance to pick up a 71 K10, but it's in rough shape and needs a bed real bad. It's an 8 ft bed. I know where there is a 2016 Chevy bed from a wreck real cheap. Will a 2016 Chevy 8 ft bed bolt down onto this early frame? I understand I will probably have to drill some new holes, but I was wondering if the wheel well openings and the frame width will be close to matching up? Also if the shape of the bottom of the bed will allow for me to bolt it down to a 71 frame?
