Sport mirrors

Where is the best place to buy sport mirrors ? My new customer camper have the huge camper mirrors and I already broke one.

Has anyone purchased a pair that were made well and they are happy with?

Unless they have changed the design the biggest complaint was that the passenger side mirror would not adjust in far enough to be able to see out of it.

Read the whole thread but See posts 15, 18, 19, & 20 for one solution to this problem.

That is an old thread so maybe the design has been updated, I don't know.

Re: Sport mirrors

I don’t understand why folks make such a big deal about the lack of adjustment on the passenger side. Why would you care when you can just turn your head a bit and look out the back window. Nothing finish’s these pickups off better then an original set of sport mirrors....my opinion..

Re: Sport mirrors

Talked to a guy that parked next to me in the big box lot with a really nice 67. He had the sport mirrors too and had mounted a peep mirror on body doors. Said it took care of just that problem and he didn't have and vibration problem. Looked nice too. Haven't tried it, just a thought.

Re: Sport mirrors

hjewell2, its all fine and dandy if you can see out your back window. Put a jukebox up in the back of the bed and you cannot see nada from the passenger side! Rather sucks

MAC71Cheyenne - what's peep mirror?

My mirror arms are getting pitted but the mirror / glass are really nice. Though I swear each time I try to move them I think I am going to break them off the door (they are soooo tight). For said trip with the jukebox, I put the mirrors vertical. They look stupid that way but I could see a bit more around me.

Thanks lockdoc for those postings, going to review those now.

Re: Sport mirrors

It's all in the mounting of the Sport Mirrors. The passenger side mirror was mounted further back by approx. 1 1/4 inch than the driverside mirror. Did your truck come with Sport Mirrors? Mine did. When I measured the placement of the mounting holes, thats what I found. My truck is a '72 C20 Custom Camper. Another way to fix the problem is in the second pic. Allows the mirror to adjust around more. After doing all this research I've decided to go with the original Camper Mirrors it came with.~~LOL~~~~~Hope this helps you.

Peep mirrors . I left them on the truck after I put the DG4s on . The stock mirrors vibrate alot
