Re: Urgent, need opinions on my new crate engine

Same as an original small block. Behind the intake manifold there is a vertical hole in the top edge of the block.

Dead center in this picture.

OK. You could tee into your bypass hose going from your intake to your water pump, and it would bypass well under all conditions, but I doubt it would circulate your heater water very well.

I'd recommend to run your 3/4" heater return hose into a reducer if necessary and into the lower radiator hose using a Tee, shown below. Measure what size you need and order one. KAT's has a variety of them, they are made for block heaters but you can buy separately for about 10 bucks.

Re: Urgent, need opinions on my new crate engine

I'm getting excited guys!! Went to see my new engine. Should have my truck back by Friday!!

Also, FYI the latest configuration of the 330 hp / 380 tq, 350 GMPP crate engine part # 19210008 does come fully assembled. Only thing needed is fuel pump, starter and water pump. Summit Racing told me the intake would not be installed. They told me wrong info on my last engine too, I don't think they know what the heck is going on sometimes lol
