White top specs/ measurements

I looked through here for something to educate me on where the line should be when painting the top white , or any other different color, and didn’t have any luck.
How far below the rear window (1967/68), should the white paint start? Regular window, not small.
Even though it’s a 68 I’ll probably do the front A pillars too, just like the look better than the non- white A’s.
Thanks for any help, or point me to a thread?

Absolutely! Thanks, don’t know how I didn’t find that. The spec pic on the clips, looks like 2.16” from the bottom of the glass.

'67 is the only year the A-pillars weren't painted with the top color.

Re: White top specs/ measurements

Heh heh. There were a rare few '68s done like '67s, even interior paint color like '67. I hope you show pics once you paint it

Re: White top specs/ measurements

I’ll post some afterwards. Right now I’m feeling like an archeologist! Taking this thing to metal is uncovering all kinds of stuff. I had no idea the bottom of the fender had this stuff. Was smooth as a babies butt until I ground out the bondo.

It looks like someone used a screw type dent puller on that fender and left the holes so the filler would squish though and do the claimed hold on better nonsense that was floating around about 40 years ago.

Re: White top specs/ measurements

I guess it worked for at least 20 years or so. The guy I bought it from said they handed it over to the local high school body shop for the body work and paint. That’s the worse I’ve found so far. The cab is surprisingly good except for the corner I replaced.

Re: White top specs/ measurements

I had a nice Medium Green '68 CST door for years that I thought was original paint. When I stripped the paint it revealed bondo work on a large area on the upper front quarter of the door below the mirror. I wondered of it wasn't a delivery mishap repair.
