Black glove box and ashtray face

So i picked up this 72 c10 gmc super custom. It came with the plaid seat and tilt wheel options. I am trying to figure out if the glove box and ashtray face should be black. The dash in the truck is red.

Re: Black glove box and ashtray face

If you have the original ash tray, pull it out and see if there's a color on back.

Re: Black glove box and ashtray face

My 69 GMC 920 Longhorn Sierra Grande had a black glove box door. Not the ash tray though.

GM seemed all over the map right. Be interesting to see the detailed paint codes, must be some rhyme & reason. For instance the glove box door & ash tray are same as the roof on my 72 Super, which are the same as the visors etc., black steering column, otherwise medium (aka light) blue.
