'72 K10 Glamour Shots

Besides old Chevy trucks, another hobby of mine is photography. I did some spring cleaning on the truck the other day, drove it over the mountains to breakfast and a mountain bike ride today, and this evening couldn't resist some glamour shots just up the road from my house.

Didn't get the blazing sunset I was hoping for, but they turned out okay. I figured some of you might enjoy the photos. I'll be looking for a better sunset sometime soon!

Re: '72 K10 Glamour Shots

Thanks all. Tonight's sunset was a little better, with some orange clouds lighting up, but I think I'll wait for one that's just spectacular before doing another shoot - hopefully the truck is clean that night!

Heck yeah it has been. Beautiful! Driving over to Cortez yesterday was gorgeous. All the trees are budding in my yard, got the garden ready to plant today - just a little longer...

I've lived in the Rockies for 14 of my 34 years, haven't taken it for granted yet... still get the awe-struck feeling every time I look at the La Platas. Even better when I'm able to be up there in the summer!

It's a good looking truck even in broad daylight, but the twilight shots definitely make it look even better than normal... one small reason I chose to shoot at that time of day. You can't see the small rust patches on the driver's door, or the occasional gravel chip in the paint.

Mostly, though, I just wanted to mimic the "sultry parking light look" (I just made that up) that I remember from the print car ads of my youth.
