That sounds like the newer version. More info suggesting the truck was built after the CST content changes I mentioned. Do they also light up? The early originals like mine did not. Attached pic is of my originals.

Those are the “bright side marker reflectors” in the CST package I believe.

Talked to Accuride this am. They do not have the wheel I need. They are mainly a late model wheel seller. Or maybe I got the wrong guy? I found these guy's doing an internet search. Thoughts?

Go to your nearest pick and pull junkyard. Find a late 90’s E250 Ford van. The wheels will be stamped “accuride”. No need to spend top dollar from an internet seller.

Re: 1969 C20, CST. 396, 21,000 mile documented Survivor

Ok, On the suggestion from 72c20customcamper I just ordered 4 of these silver/grey 16 x 7 from Road Ready $93.56 free shipping. Cant beat that with a stick! I thought about the pick n pull thing but I don't have time for that. Pull em out of the box, install the valve stems, mount the tire, Road force balance em, install restored S/S hubcaps done.

If you don’t have time online is the way to go. Steel wheels are $10 each when the yard has Monday madness savings. You can’t beat that with a brick.

Dave - it's a CST, no where near the condition of yours... I just got it late last summer from South Dakota farmer, 89,000 miles...it's in nice shape, still going thru everything. I replaced the tires and had the rims blasted and powder coated.. new exhaust as well.

IMO, that may flow better with the exterior black body color, but your free to experiment before you make the decision. Hey, come to think of it, Chevy was ahead of its time in the '68-'69 period, practically every car on the road today comes with silver wheels On the argent silver color, it is a very tricky color to match accurately. A '69 hubcap might be a perfect color match tool for the wheels, assuming it is NOS. Used caps are found in various states, might be faded, bleached or surface rusty look, may not be an indication of the original color and gloss, or lack of gloss. Here is a photo of a used '69 cap that shows some wear , but a NOS cap would be more accurate finish to color match the wheels to.

That VIN number does not look like a low production number. Reading glasses on?

Nice truck! When you read between the lines, the SPID will tell us the HD 4 spd CR is the New Process 435 box ( nice trans by the way) and the 396 option will include the Spicer 60 with 3.54 ratio.

I agree! I am having a member here who restores these hub caps restore a set for me. CHEVMN in Mo. I have ordered a set of 16 x 7" wheels from Road Ready Wheels and have received one box so far. They are a grey color that I am hoping will go good with the S/S caps and black truck. And it probably came with white rims factory but I have read argent was available in 69 as well. I have 4 new Michelins that came in Friday, LT265/75/R16. These are outline white letters but will be mounted inward for a black wall appearance. Worst case I will have to scuff the wheels up and paint them a lighter shade.

Ordered a complete exhaust system Wednesday from Waldron's Exhaust in aluminized steel. Chose the factory style muffler. I guess the lead time could be worse like most things right now. The original mufflers/tail pipes have numerous holes and sound a little ratty. Head pipes are still ok but decided on entire new system. Owner agreed.
