Power Window hot lead
I just put in an Electric Life power window kit in a 1972 Chevy half ton. Where should the 12V power lead (s) go to? Some say direct to the battery with a fusible link. Others just put it in the main fuse box - 20 AMP. Where on the fuse box? I do have an accessory fuse box connected but I keep burning out the 3 AMP fuse.

Re: Power Window hot lead
On the 80’s models power windows plug into the fuse box from the factory. So that’s how I would do it.

Re: Power Window hot lead
Wish I could. I have other accessories so have an external fuse box to handle them. I think I will just run a heavier gauge line from the battery to an additional fuse box and have it at 20 AMPS just for the power window hot feed.

Re: Power Window hot lead
I also ran a primary wire from the battery to an accessory fuse box. 3M double sided taped it to the underside of the dash. Used 20 amps (photo is of a different fuse box for keyed on items).
