I like it!

Can you please hurry up and put the wheels on, I am waiting to order a set for mine and would like to see how they look on a square body first

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Re: My 84 CC Dually mod thread - there will be plenty of pics

Sorry to have to keep you guys waiting but it's probably going to be a while before the wheels get bought. I need to get the engine back together and I just yanked the 400 automatic out today to have it rebuilt. I am going to try and order the wheels by the end or april.

Thanks for all the great comments!

Re: My 84 CC Dually mod thread - there will be plenty of pics

Tore the dash apart today to get a light bulb count so I can replace with LEDs. I also needed to check and make sure my water temp connection was still good as the gauge never worked when I bought the truck. The gauge has good power/ground and sender connection so it must just be a bad gauge, ordered a new one from LMC. Will post some pics once I put the dash back together with the LEDs.

Also removed both the drivers side door panels to free up some sticky power window motors. You would be surprised what a little bit of WD-40 will do

Oh yeah also started to mount my new mirrors. Waiting for my buddy to bring home his nutsert tool so I can finish up that little project. Will also post pics when done!

The new LED's in the dash. While I have it apart I am going to custom fit a 2 1/16 tach gauge in where the clock is. Plan is for it to look almost factory by the time it's done.

Thanks for the link to the lights. I will be purchasing them for my truck. How many in total are in the dash, and elsewhere you put them?

This tach mod is going to be easier then I thought! Already got it roughed in and I think it looks right at home! Much more functional then the clock.

Re: My 84 CC Dually mod thread - there will be plenty of pics

For the gauge cluster, was that a LED replacement bulb or did you purchase LED's and solder them in with resistors? If it was a replacement bulb from superbright would you mind posting the part number you ordered, they look great vs. the dim and poorly illuminating stocks. Also, on the tail lamp leds were they plug n play or did you have to alter the harness or add resistors? I have heard when put in without resistors they cause the fast blink in the cluster like a bulb is out elsewhere in the truck. Thanks for any info you can share

Post number #238 has the link to the exact bulbs I purchased. They are direct replacement 194 style bulbs and they are super bright!

The tails are not truly plug and play as you do need to remove the stock bulb sockets and wire the LEDs in. I suppose you could leave the sockets and just remove the bulbs and then splice into the existing wires but I wanted the clean setup. You can buy the LED tails below.

As far as the flash rate, the documentation that came with the tails said you do not need to replace the flasher or add resistors as they must already be built into the circuit boards but in my case where I converted every light in the truck to LED I had no choice and opted to go with a no load plug & play flasher.
