I have a A 67-71 door panel without holes for arm-rest. Anyone have any ideas what the application would have been?

As far as I know, 67's did not have armrests. My factory original 67 does not...but I do not know if ALL 67's were like this....

Re: 67-71 door panel without holes for arm-rest

The 1967 sales brochure lists armrests for Custom cab interior, but not for Standard cab.

https://www.gmheritagecenter.com/doc...ruck-PCK-1.pdf

It appears that 1968 was the same way.

https://www.gmheritagecenter.com/doc...Truck-FL-2.pdf

I've owned both 1967 and 1968 base model trucks, and neither of them had armrests.

The 1969 brochure has a photo of a door without an armrest. In 1970, armrests are listed under standard features.

I have a 67 GMC, Custom Cab.
It has armrests. It's news to me that they ever came without.

My 69 C/10 does not have holes for arm rests. It has the base interior with rubber floor mat and vinyl seat without shoulder strap seat belts. I'd like to add arm rests.

I believe that you could delet the passenger armrest and visor in the early years. I looked at a 67 with no passenger sunviser.

My base model 67 had no passenger sunvisor and no passenger side mirror.

Re: 67-71 door panel without holes for arm-rest

My 67 is very plain, not a Custom or CST...
Came with a 283 and a glide, HD rear coil springs, ammeter, side trim a foam seat (which was NOT in it when I bought it in 2002) and.............believe it or not, this stripper pickup came with.....factory AC!!!
It has one sun visor only, NO armrests.

My 68 1/2 ton Golden is a Custom, has both armrests and sun visors

Re: 67-71 door panel without holes for arm-rest

Armrests on '67s were a custom option. They were a different style from the '68-'71. On a Standard truck, [ not ''Custom'' or ''DeLuxe''] the Door Panels were not pierced for armrest bolts.
I put a junkyard find armrest on the Drivers Side door of my '67 K/10 Suburban. [Didn't find a matching one.] Some ''expert'' saw it and said ''Oh! You have the very rare Model Year 1967 Armrest.'' ''Just lucky, I guess'', I said. ''Why not on the right door?'' ''Oh, they were optional, like passenger side visors,'' I lied.
Didn't have the heart to tell him it was found in the mud of a junkyard, and they let me have it for a Buck. No clue of the source. '48 to '58 Olds sedan, maybe?
