November 2015 ToTM

The November Truck of the Month (TOTM) contest theme is:

Linear!

Therefore, to see what it takes to be a nominee this month, the truck will need to meet these criteria:
  • Open to all years and models of Trucks, Blazers, Suburbans, Tahoes, Yukons, and Jimmys.
  • Truck must be powered by an inline 6.
  • It must be together and able to move on its own power.
  • The truck has to be licensed for street use.
  • If a truck was selected as a 2014 or 2015 TOTM winner then you are ineligible. If the truck was nominated but not selected as a TOTM winner then it may be nominated and compete in this month's category.
To Nominate:

You or someone else may nominate the vehicle. The nominee must be a board member and the current owner of the truck. Once you decide on who you wish to nominate, just add your nomination to this thread. We will need two pictures minimum, at least one full view of the vehicle and one of the engine, along with the owner’s board name and Make/Model/Year of vehicle.

Nominees will run through October 24. The first 15 nominees that meet the criteria will participate in the contest. I will PM the nominees to get any additional data or pictures if they have not already been provided. If the owner has a preferred picture they want used in the contest, please let me know in a PM. You can PM me for an e-mail address in case anyone has problems resizing the pictures for the board. A Voting Poll Thread will be set up by October 25 in this board area and an announcement will be posted on the Discussion Boards to notify all that voting has begun. The voting will run thru the morning of November 1 and the official announcement of the winner will be on the evening of November 1. The announcement of the TOTM winner will be posted through the General Discussion Board area.

Beautiful truck, but this month's theme is "linear", so inline powered trucks.

My 1952 1300. 1955 235 inline .040 over c/w 848 head. Fenton headers, Edelbrock Intake, Dual Webber carbs, HEI, Power steering, S10 rear, T-5 Trans, Power Brakes with disk all around, Custom leaf springs all around, Original solid front axle. Truck originally was a Canadian 3/4t and is now sitting on a 49 1/2t chassis but is still rocking the 3/4t badge numbers for now.

Re: November 2015 ToTM

How about my old scrap heap.
1964 Chevy C10, stock inline 230 ci, 3 OTT, original paint
I drove this old truck all up and down I-65 this year
Attended the following (most with my Father-in-law Ed)
GG Nashville
Southeastern Truck nationals
GG Indy
Cruising the Heartland (E-town KY)
GG Bowlinggreen
And many local cruises in Louisville KY
Hell my daughter even had some of her senior pictures with it. (yeah I was stoked)
This rig is stock other than Zeed Frame and 4 corner airbag suspension.
In the drive way

Old trusty 230CI engine

Father in law Ed (riding buddy) and long time and child hood friend Hank at GG Bowlinggreen

Streetrod Nationals Lou Ky

Senior Pics

Southeastern truck nationals with my son Jacob And riding partner Ed

Re: November 2015 ToTM

Does the inline 6 have to have spark plugs to compete? I know of a couple of sweet rigs that could fit the bill this month. Mosesburb's 72 Suburban being one of them.

Spark plugs schmark plugs Ryan! Is your truck on the road at the moment? If yes it definitely needs to be here!

Here's my 69 c20 Custom Camper Longhorn with Isuzu 6BD1T inline 6 diesel mated to an Allison AT-540 Transmission. Not the prettiest truck but unique and I drive it every day

It was, but I pulled the trans to get it fixed. So technically no. Your truck is a nice rig!

Here's Mosesburb's 72 burb. He takes this rig all over the Western US doing off road camping trips. It is a well built off road/commuter rig.
