4x4 shift handle pivot bolts

I machined some 4x4 shift handle pivot bolts using existing bolts as patterns.
I have a 1970 205 transfer case adapter plate and it requires a 9/16" thread.
I believe the newer ones may require different threads.
I have 9/16", 1/2" and 7/16" bolts.
Price is $30 plus the ride.
I pictured the originals alone with the replacements.
I can add the zert fitting for $5 extra.

Re: 4x4 shift handle pivot bolts

Yes, I did use hex stock to build them. Not a hill of beans different in material costs and saved me some work.

Do you plan to make these on the regular or should I go figure out what I need now?

Re: 4x4 shift handle pivot bolts

The 70 205 likely has the 9/16 NC thread. If you can confirm that it would be great.
That's the one I will send if you are unable to confirm.
PM me with and address and we can do paypal?

Edit.
I didn't know about the thread size change pointed out by Classic Bowties.
It does identify the one I have as a 1972. Always learning something.

As an FYI for you and possibly all of your buyers, the OE 1970 trans to transfer case adapters were tapped for the 7/16"-14 NC threaded shift lever shoulder bolt, the 9/16"-12 NC threaded t/c lever pivot bolt was not used until the late 71 K model production year and became standard OE equipment all of the 72 K models. Given that these trucks have now been in service for fifty plus years and the possibility of broken parts being replaced, modified and or trans/transfer conversions being done throughout them years, it's always best to physically check your own adapter threads. Thank you, I'll double check tomorrow. All I have around is a 1/2" bolt and it went in sloppy

Re: 4x4 shift handle pivot bolts

The Advanced Adapter page is listed it this way:

This adapter was originally used on GM 4wd trucks 1971-79 equipped with a TH350 automatic transmission with the NP205 cast iron, part time transfer case.

One could assume from the year it's the later 9/16". I would call and confirm.

Re: 4x4 shift handle pivot bolts

I am in Longview. 36miles North of Portland OR on I5.

Johnl48's bolt left in the mail today.

I will finish up the grease fitting bolt tomorrow. A Small Flat rate box is $10.50. A 5" cube box that weighed in at 7oz cost more to ship than the flat rate box. Go figure.

Any others can just figure shipping as a Small Flat rate box at $10.50.

Go to Pirateship.com....I ship small items in a padded envelope...it's usually around $4.50 $5.00 for a 8-10 oz package.
What grade of steel are you turning these from?
