07 Tahoe

so what do you think? Like it? Hate it?

To me it is... different, right now I can't tell if I like it or hate it yet... to me it looks liek someone took a clay model of a 2000 model and pulled back the front corners by the headlights.

Re: 07 Tahoe

I have an 04 and I think the new ones are cool looking. I like the features a whole lot more than what I got on mine. Mine it set up for 9 passengers but removing and stowing the seats(heavy) is a pain, so I like the new fold down rear seats. I also like the power lift gate option aswell. My wife hauls our kids around town in it so she is the one that drives it the most. I would trade up but that means I would start over on payments and I am 2 years down on mine and I only have 24k miles on it.

If you want to get one i would wait until they release the fuel efficient model the runs on 4 cylinders at cruising/highway speed. From what I understand it should get 30 miles per gallon? Right now it's best is 18-21 miles per gallon.

I really like it, but 40K???? I'll take a fully loaded 4 door Z71 truck before I pay that for a Tahoe.

The tahoes and 'burbs had the same front-end from 99-06, I think you're referring to the trucks

Re: 07 Tahoe

i drove one while they were changing my oil. seems bigger, higher, more powerful, more quiet, bigger console, better sound system, etc etc. i actualy like the looks better, just because of the painted front/rear bumpers (I hate chrome). chances of me buying one? hahah, maybe in 4 years when i can get one for 18 grand. like zumo said, the seats are way better. you can also get them with captain chairs in the second row. and the rear seats have wheels so its easier to take them out. mine must weigh over 100 pounds each and its a pain.

I like them enough that I plan to buy one. I'm not sure if I will get the Suburban or the Yukon XL though. My wife loves her 03 Denali XL, but she wants something newer. I would go with the Denali XL again , but she wants red...

Re: 07 Tahoe

It sounded good in the add I saw somewhere but the big draw back is it has RACK AND PINION steering. Every vehicle I have ever driven with rack has been a drive. I mean you are constantly pushing the wheel, at the end of a long day driving you are tired and worn out. Normal recirculating ball is enjoyable to drive and never felt like you had to work just to steer.

You know what they say,"marriage is hardwork".I hope you can work out your problems.lol

BTW,$40,000 is nothing new for GM SUVs.A 1/2t Z71 Suburban was $45,000 a few years ago.

Re: 07 Tahoe

I think it looks like a giant Isuzu, but I've seen the interiors and the specs so i could get past the fact that it's butt-ugly pretty quickly.

Getting past the sticker would be more difficult.

That is correct. Our 03 Denali XL "stickered" for $52,000. I paid over $12,000 less than that.
I agree with 79Silv4x4, I'll wait until the Burb, Yukon XL hit the ground before I make a move...

Re: 07 Tahoe

well they are all made by GM , so they're going to share some chararistics(sp?)

Front and side view, the thing looks great. Just the back-end........looks like the rear-end of a mini-van.

I would buy one but it would not be my first choice.
