Is this the hole for the parking brake

Hi. There was no parking brake on my truck when I bought it. Supposedly it's a 77-78 K10 chassis. I bought a C10 cable from LMC since that's the one that fits my C10 pedal assembly. But maybe it doesn't fit my K10 frame. Is this hole on the frame where this part of the cable is suppose to set in? Also, it seems weird that the parking brake would set outside the frame instead of inside.

The C10 cables may come up short as the 4wd chassis sit higher. AND you're right they should be on the inside of the frame, 'cept for the one coming from the parking brake mechanism

Re: Is this the hole for the parking brake

what you need is a couple of short lines that can be bent back up into the reservoir ,, put the master cyl in a vice or such and start pumping on the piston
lots of utube on this if you cant figure it out

Hey Mongo, I deleted that post since I had intended it to be in the other thread.
