Re: Picked up a 4x4!

Thank you!

Bill, I have black weather mats that I use in the front areas. That'll help keep the stains down. I am trying to find a weather mat for the back seat too.

Re: Picked up a 4x4!

Well I got a few things done this weekend! New front driveshaft, new steering components and I got new tires, but still need to get them mounted. More pics soon!

Re: Picked up a 4x4!

I decided on a little paint scheme change. Re-painted grill and bezels graphite, which will be the same color the wheels will be when I put on the new tires. What do you think?

Re: Picked up a 4x4!

Haven’t posted in awhile. Got quite a bit done lately: cruise control fixed, a/c fixed, replaced rear u joint and that cleared up the vibration, got new chrome trim on the sides, and I scored another set of rally wheels, blasted them and painted them the same color as the grill. These are going to be my winter set since these wheels are not as good as the ones I pulled off. I’m going to sand and paint the ones I pulled off and mount some brand new Coopers on them for my summer tires.

Re: Picked up a 4x4!

Made a little more progress on the winter rig. Got tired of sitting on and looking at the old worn out seat bottoms. So I ordered some of the original material from SMS, pulled apart both bucket seats and reupholstered the bottoms.

Lucky man, many of us dream of one nice 'Burb, and you've got two!

I'll soon a 'Burb owner, once I decide on a color for my '22 Z71 burb.

Thanks! Yeah, this one has rust issues in the rear, but the rest of it is pretty clean.

Re: Picked up a 4x4!

It’s a little early, but I got excited for the new summer tires and threw them on today. Man what difference in ride quality from the BFG’s to the Coopers. Truck is way smoother and more comfortable I think with the Coopers.

Re: Picked up a 4x4!

Never had much luck or like of the BFG's. Have had good luck with coopers. Glad the Burb is still hauling for ya. Almost time for the summer one to come out.

Almost Bill! Just fired it up the other day and spun it around the block. I forgot how smooth that one is compared to this 4x4.

Re: Picked up a 4x4!

Well I’m just about tired of oil stains in my new driveway so I decided I’d pull the engine this weekend and reseal the whole thing. While i have the engine out I’ll clean up the frame and anything else I can get to.

Re: Picked up a 4x4!

Made some progress today. Got the engine out and stripped. New timing chain is in. Man, good timing on replacing the chain (pun intended). That factory chain was super loose and ready to give up anytime.
