I've never seen one in person. They look like they're based off a big rig.

They were built by a big truck company. Cabs are the same

Mack offered the Mack Jr, which was actually built by REO. The half ton anyway. The one tons were probably mostly Mack

I never saw one built that way. That looks cool. I guess someone just removed the running boards

I believe it was born as a box truck. Very meticulous work on that sucker. It picked up the Best Of Show for the whole shootin' match.

Re: Classic Trucks: Other Makes

Those are cool. I saw a Jeep FC truck done that way. But let's try to stay away from 4wds in this thread and leave those for the long time running "Other Makes" thread in the 4wd and Off Road forum. That is a popular thread so I thought I'd start this one for 2wds. The 4wd thread could always use more additions to it.

I'd be mighty nervous driving them anywhere on a highway. Those are "going to the mail box at the end of a driveway" puddle jumpers.

These days there are more cars about this size. Not that I'd want to run one. I know what you mean, Dale. "Hey buddy, is that a Cushman or an EZ-GO?"

'91 2wd Jeep Commanche. One of those would be cool tricked out

Re: Classic Trucks: Other Makes

My son drives one of these, X Runner. A true sports truck, better suspension, 250hp, 6 spd, posi in a lower ratio. He's done a few mods on his such as lexus multi-piston calipers, lower, Hurst shifter, exhaust. Fun to drive!

I’ve always liked the Jeep Comanche . Real nice one at the show a few weeks ago 4.0 2wd . That’s what saved this one not used in winter

I had one of those!! It was a nice truck. I really enjoyed the 6 speed transmission. I sold it when we moved, as I knew it wasn't going to do well in the snow.

Re: Classic Trucks: Other Makes

I'm sorry one truck killed these eight pages of pictures of a whole assortment of trucks for you. I didn't get back here on time to take it out before others had commented (before you did). I realized after posting it didn't belong. I got the other make part right but it's not old enough to be a classic. Although special models like this from new are classics of sorts and destined to be collectible, which the x-Runners already are. Much like the 454SS pickups from the early '90s were, except these actually have added performance built in. Not just a look.

I went looking at foreign 'other makes' and saw the X-Runner, then forgot the mission. Back on track, here is some foreign iron. I don't even know what this one is... Russian?
