Door Panel Question

Purchased these Parchment Door Panels tonight and knowing they are the base door panels my question is when GM added wood grain to the Door panel would this have been the panel they used? Thinking that the Deluxe with scribing would be raised to much to stick the wood trim over?

Re: Door Panel Question

So I have located a new set of OEM GM wood grain panels, so my question is can I use these door panels to mount trim on? How does it attach?

Re: Door Panel Question

I'm not sure those were the same panels used for the woodgrain trim as they are not perforated like the other panels I have seen that takes a stainless trim. There was a set that recently sold on the forum so I'm posting pix for reference.

If you end up seeking another set of parchment panels - I may be interested in buying that base set from you. Let me know - thanks.

Re: Door Panel Question

There was a post recently about this same subject. I believe you just need to make your holes for the tangs that are on the stainless steel trim and it should work. Once covered by the woodgrained panel, one would never know the difference.

Thats kinda what I was thinking, These are super nice, guy claimed they had never been painted or dyed and was out of a Nevada truck. If all is true they are a very nice set and the arm pads come with as well.

Now I need seat belts and the plastics.

Anyone ever buy the Premier visors from LMC? They look good in pictures and how hard could they be to reproduce?

Whats quality on their Headliners and trim package? Anyone have other options?

Re: Door Panel Question

If you are looking for the headliner trim I got mine from TrimParts out of Ohio. Original GM Tooling as I was told.

Re: Door Panel Question

If for some reason these don’t work out for your wood grain panels, I have a nice set of olive deluxe panels if you’re interested in a trade.

Thanks, I'm trying to do a color chnage from blue to parchment and regardless these will work even if I leave as is these are super nice panels. May have blue for sale but have a guy who spoke for them already here on forum,

Re: Door Panel Question

Those look like like a pristine set, MD. Did you try overlaying the trim ?
