Red truck red interior?

What do you think, too much red?

I see lots of trucks with interiors same color as the paint, but I don't think Ive ever seen a red truck with red interior.

I owned (most of) a red truck once for a brief time; it had a red interior. It didn't seem too much to me, but I never drove it, so I might not be a good judge.

Re: Red truck red interior?

I think that is one of the hottest looks on these trucks. And it's got the era-correct essence going for it. I've seen trucks done red on red and they look great. Shows the chrome well. I thought I had pictures saved, but found nothing. Jason, who worked with Jerry Brown, did a really sweet '67 short bed with custom red interior. One of the finest trucks I've ever seen done.

I only have this stock truck with red top to show

Re: Red truck red interior?

I’ve seen the red on red, it wasn’t too much, I don’t believe. The interior vinyl was a little darker than the painted so it helped offset.
Colors matches, as we know, are a personal preference thing for the most part. I like a “clean” look. Parchment or saddle vinyl on the body color paint, or the body color vinyl on a white painted interior has always caught my eye.

Re: Red truck red interior?

I have a 69 that was factory medium red with a white roof with a red interior. Although the red inside is almost a maroon/burgundy red, it looks sharp IMO.

My brother's 73 is red interior and blue paint.

Re: Red truck red interior?

Great looking combo! If my truck were red, red would be the only color I'd consider for the interior.

Re: Red truck red interior?

Very nice trucks! I had bright red planned (including pieces gathered) for my '67. Just needed to get the buddy buckets covered and door panels made (both custom). Then I was offered a killer deal on buddy buckets done just the way I wanted mine done, only black. I'm going with black now

I’ve got a red (with silver trim) 1967 gauge cluster, in case anyone is interested…

The ladies hated the my burgundy interior/apple red exterior. I thought it was fine, but converted to black when I redid the truck.

Right, in the '69, '70 era, the interior red trim was a darker shade than the exterior red color. In the '67-'68 era, the interior red trim was a closer match to the exterior color. In the '71-'72 era, not sure, IMO, black was a more common interior color than red.
