Mystery harness...to me anyway

what is this wire harness for? 1972 C10, 2 wheel, 350ci, standard trans. It is not the engine or front light harness, it comes out of the fire wall to the right and slightly above the engine and front harness junction to fuse box. My 1970 C10 does not have this harness..

Thanx in advance...

Re: Mystery harness...to me anyway

Just look at my '72 and have the same harness coming out of the same location. It runs behind the inside of the driver fender, comes out at the front of the inner fender.

It looks like it would go to the alternator and/or external regulator. The thick red wire probably goes to the alternator and the green wire would most likely go to the temp sending unit.

That is the tcs ( transmission controlled spark ) wiring. If you look there is prob. A relay on pass side and also a round vac. Control located on the intake.
