Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

I sure miss my 76 - it was a "gotta make room" sale, but wish I'd found a way to keep it. K20 Silverado Camper Special with Special Paint (just orange top over white, nothing fancy) - something I was holding onto for a future project. Oh well.. They are becoming pretty hard to find in decent condition (at a fair price). I prefer 73-74 in the square years, but anything thru 79 works for me.. I've still got my lowback 74 buckets waiting for a home. Someday

Since we're talkin square headlights.. They were standard on the Silverado trim level in '80, but you could also get them on a lower trim level by selecting RPO V22, which got you the bright grille with square headlights. I'm a round-eyed truck sorta guy myself though.

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

I didn't realize how few pictures are floating around out there with 69-72 chromed P03 caps and white stripe tires. This one is too green, and too short, but this is the closest photo I could find in my archive. I'm sure someone has got something closer...

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

Great collection of pics!
The green K20 carrying the Open Road cabover camper looks just like the rig I bought new from Hozelton's Chevrolet and RV in East Rochester, NY. In Dec. of 71. Many fond memories!
I'm about 98% complete on my current project: a 1972 K2500 Camper Special. Sharpest looking Brick on Wheels in town. Getting lots of thumbs up and horn toots. Looks like lots of people really LOVE these old Chevys and GMCs. I'm looking for a clean rust free Blazer or Jimmy if you guys know of one.
THANKS AGAIN for the pics.

Thanks Tomaso

Another truck just being a truck
Saw this one in Gold Country yesterday
Very reminiscent of the the 70’-80’s
Steelies, no caps

Sierra Grande....Tow Hooks

Oh yeah,
Also it’s original blue and yellow plates

Agreed
It is just a look you don’t see very often
Since
Blue on black
Is a solid color truck with only lower trim
I think dog dish with white walls
Will give, contrast

Not a solid color
But, I put them back this super
It came stock with them
The owner gave them to me when I bought the truck

Could very well be... all those Motherlode elevation gold rush towns resemble each other.
Maybe Chevyland will chime in and solve the mystery.

The work edit!(I meant, world) just got smaller
I don’t do Facebook but my wife does
I got home tonight
She said, ‘check these out’
They just showed up in the mail...
Do you remember Shelly ?
Maybe ?? I don’t know
Well she found me on Facebook
Asked if Eric had a yellow boat
Back when we were kids
.
Yep

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

So low budget
I had the nicest boat
But had no money left
So I had to tow it with my 1972 Dump truck
(Without mirrors)
