Great looking truck! Same color combo as my '70 CST. What part of Spokane you you from? I see you went to discount for your exhaust. I pass by there everyday and he always has great builds in his lot.

Nice! We should meet up for a cruise sometime. I’m on the South Hill. Exhaust turned out great!

Meeting up would be cool. I've been wanting to do air ride in my truck and would like to check your out. Do you ever do any of the Saturday cruises with the Riverside Cruisers? I've only been to one or two cruises with them this year.

Sure thing. Haven’t hit the Saturday cruises. Dropping the truck off again Monday to address a small leak and install the RideTech height sensors. The standard system just wasn’t exact enough for me. Plus I probably have some suspension bind.

Re: 71 Cheyenne LWB Build (RideTech Air and zz502)

Had the RideTech level sensors installed and now the air ride is very consistent. I adjusted both level 1 and 2 a bit higher, especially in the rear to get a little bit of rake. Loving it. Here's a level 1 picture and a 2 to 1 video if it'll work.

Re: 71 Cheyenne LWB Build (RideTech Air and zz502)

We were supposed to get family photos done today with the truck. The weather isn't looking great later on. Instead, I went ahead and did a little photoshoot of my own inspired by TOTM!

Had the truck out three weeks ago for a family photo session. Still waiting on those edits. Snapped this pic with my iPhone during the shoot.

Sweet looking truck— I have a 72 c10 with Hooker long tube headers I’m looking at changing to mid length what brand and part number did you use and how was the fit. Mine are great except the passenger side is close to the starter and one tube is dimpled from the lower a arm.

Did you end up using the Hedman #69013 headers if so how was the fit?

Looking back at my orders it looks like we ended up with the Hedman #69196. They fit great and they get a ton of compliments. The one minor issue I've had with my setup and location of engine, is that the adjustment knob for the passenger RideTech shock rubs one header tube when the engine is vibrating. We had to move the engine back a bit to accommodate the serpentine system and electric fans. We ended up pulling the adjustment knob from that shock and it's good to go. I keep the knob in the glove box should I need to adjust anything. You can see how close the knob is to the tube in picture #4 in post #34 on page 2.

Here's a shot from our family photoshoot that the photographer added to our package.

Re: 71 Cheyenne LWB Build (RideTech Air and zz502)

Received a terrible call last weekend that my unit at the storage facility was broken into. Luckily I didn't have anything else in there and they didn't touch the truck. Phew. So, the truck had to be started up and moved. Fired right up. Still lots of snow here. Ready for Spring!

A phone call like that and I'd about faint. Thank God thieves aren't known to be the smartest bunch..... Glad to hear this TOTM is still flawless!

That sucks about the break in, but at least the truck is fine. My heart sank after the first sentence. Glad it turned out okay. Still beautiful! What are you using to take the photos? They look really crisp and clear, nice work!

I never expected it. My unit backed up to a perimeter fence. They cut through the fence and then peeled the siding back on the back side of the unit. Some shots are with a Nikon D7000. The two recent ones are with an iPhone Xs and then edited using Camera+ for iPhone.

Re: 71 Cheyenne LWB Build (RideTech Air and zz502)

My shop has been working on my main project for this year - Vintage Air. They ran into an electrical issue though so it's taking a bit longer than expected. Vintage Air has been very helpful and hopefully their solution will work. Here are a couple pictures from the work so far. I decided to leave the dash original instead of painting it since my four year old loves playing in the truck. Not loving the radiator hose either, but we didn't have much of a choice with the CVF Racing compressor location. Oh yeah, I also added the Forever Sharp steering wheel earlier this spring.

Re: 71 Cheyenne LWB Build (RideTech Air and zz502)

Truck looks killer. I’ve been on an aluminum tubing radiator hose kick with my cars. You could do that facing forward and going between the compressor and radiator. Just the tubing with silicon couplers on the end.
