Can I trim down the cooling fins?
Im pretty limited on options as to where to place the computer. If i trim down the cooling fins I could slide it in above the AC box.

Not sure. But, since the computer will be living inside the cab, it wont see the heat it would under the hood where it lived originally. So, I am guessing you will be ok.

I would think you'd be ok. I just used mine as a mounting point and drilled holes through them for a bracket.
I had the same concern, but went ahead and did it.
