Down Pipe Question

I have no exhaust on the truck and I am removing the long tube headers to install ramhorn manifolds. I have seen the downpipe kits online for 67-72 w\ manifolds.

I want to run the exhaust through the rear crossmember. Would these downpipes hang too low? I have seen some pics on here, but it is hard to tell. I guess once I get it to the exhaust shop they can shorten them. I have some more tinkering to do on the motor before it is road bound. I can't run with straight manifolds so the downpipes should do for now right?

Thoughts?

Re: Down Pipe Question

I did the same thing and bought that kit. It runs just below the frame rail. Mine is a long bed so it was well short of the rear crossmember. It ended beyond the cab, so if you have a SB they may have to cut a little.
