Re: rocker panels

GMC Paul.
I recently bought a set of them from his company and they are very thick just like the original metal.

Re: rocker panels

LMC sells Triplus panels made in Taiwan, those took a whole lot to get right. There are only a handful of factories actually making these panels, though there are many vendors selling them.

I am doing a the metal work on a fellow members cab, I think he got all of his panels from GMC pauls. I cant remember what manufacturer GMC pauls sells. Will see how that goes for comparison.

Re: rocker panels

I’ve found the repos are heavy as original and fit just as good so I sold my 3 sets of originals and bought the repos that saved a lot of money

Re: rocker panels

GMC Paul's. I have found KeyParts to be a heavier gauge than some and the stampings / fitment is about as good as it gets with repro. Theyll all need some work to be perfect.

Re: rocker panels

I used Southwest Classics in Arlington Tx for the rocker panels. They were heavy gauge and great quality.

Re: rocker panels

you know its a shame that all the other places that offer quality parts do not come up when searched for. never heard of gmc pauls or southwest classics.

Re: rocker panels

Can't remember which side it was but I got a total dud from GMC Pauls. I'm not sure there is any sure way to know you will get quality.

Re: rocker panels

I bought both rockers, RH fender, both inner fenders, drivers side lower A pillar, inner and outer grillle and both bumpers and a tailgate from Southwest Classics. Everything fit great with only minor adjustments.

Re: rocker panels

On the Blazer, I used a GM rocker on the drivers side, and an AMD on the passengers side. No problems with either and both were similar quality.

Re: rocker panels

I used Key Parts on mine and the fit was very close on both sides with some minor tweaking. I haven't seen a rocker - even NOS that didn't need some minor tweaking to fall into place.

Save yourself the shipping on just buy from JEGs which will ship for free.

Driver Side 0849-101 - $23.99
Passenger Side 0849-102 - $23.99

Both are drop-shipped directly from Key Parts (FREE) so you exactly where your part is coming from...and they show up without an extra shipping charge.
