Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

The bummer is

At some point in its life
Those 2 interior pieces have been changed
I’d like to give this truck the ultimate respect
Putting it back to original

I guess I’ll have to scour the earth to find them
In

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

What’s the paint code and year? I’ll keep an eye out.

Or you could have them re-painted, I had a guy touch up my blue 70 c30 in a few spots and you couldn’t even tell where he blended it matched so well.

Notice that dash pad doesn't seem to have the usual cracks.

I figured that guy was a manual for sure. What’s the drivetrain?

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

I'm digging the "Chevy Land" logo on the glove box door!

That's a cool truck.

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

Thanks,
That is one of those dealer emblems
They used to put on the cowl, back in the day
May as well stick this on the inside of the door
I’ve never had a ‘Shop Truck’ before
It wasn’t my intention with this truck
But?

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

That enough for today
Now I just need to decide if I want to leave
The original seat
With custom shirt, seat cover
Or
Keep stripping the dump truck

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

I'm loving the glovebox door. That "plain jane" has a cool factor that's gonna be hard to beat. I do feel bad for the dump truck though....

Re: ChevyLand ‘The Truck Photo Tour’

Hey Pete,
Joe’s junk snuck one of those board games
Under the seat of a truck he had shipped to me
What a surprise !

I don’t have a lot of 69-70 parts
But dug deeper
Only found a chrome one
Guess I’ll use it until a painted one appears

Nope...
But
That leads me to the next question
For The 69-70 plain Jane truck experts

The radio has knobs like the one on the left (aftermarket I think)
The one on the right is off one of my 72 Supers
Did all radio knobs have the deluxe chrome in the center
Or
Did the basic trucks come with solid black ones
That match the ones on the gauge cluster ?
Also
Cigarette lighter ? Always chrome in center ?
