This is a good solid truck. It is not a show truck nor has it been fully restored. I've used it as a truck as needed while trying to keep it nice. The truck is a 1967 C-20 Custom Camper, 327 4-bbl, Powerglide, PS, and a factory No-Spin locker with 4:56 gears. I posted the truck for sale back in August but the engine spun a rod bearing shortly thereafter and was completely rebuilt by Dewayne’s Automotive in Mooresville, NC (704-663-3544, ask for Dewayne and he’ll talk to you about the truck). The rebuild included new pistons, rods, all bearings, the crank was turned, new high flow oil pump, new lifters and pushrods. The heads have new valve guides, seals, valve seats, and new valves. The motor is strong and runs well, better than before the rebuild. I've owned the truck since 1994 and bought it from the nephew of the original owner. Mileage is 78,786 and, based on documents I have, I believe this to be original. The truck was originally silver with a red interior but the nephew did a driveway paint job using a medium blue. He painted everything inside and out including the vinyl on the dash and door panels. The paint was badly faded and peeling when I got the truck and I had it repainted in a factory color, medium green, in 1996. I wanted to re-paint the original silver but there were very few red interior items available in '96. I removed the glass and took the interior apart for the repaint, had the seat recovered, installed a new dash pad, carpet, and sun visors in dark green; green door panels were not available at that time so I sprayed the original door panels in black vinyl paint. The truck has been garaged for the last 10 years but the paint has faded some and has some chips and the body and trim have some dings. The only rust on the truck is in the cab corners (bubbles), the front edge of the hood over the battery (bubbles), the the passenger fender edge under the battery and behind the wheel (again, bubbles), and a few bubbles in the passenger rocker. Underside of the cab and inner rockers are solid. Bed is solid and tailgate is in good condition with some paint chips on the top edge (stainless cover there now). In 2004, I installed an Edelbrock Power Pack on the motor consisting of a new cam, intake, and carburetor. I still have the factory intake, 4bbl, and valve covers. I also installed a Pertronix pointless ignition in the distributor and had headers and a Flowmaster exhaust installed. Unfortunately the factory exhaust manifolds cracked upon removal so I no longer have those. Two years ago, I discovered a broken motor mount and some suspect suspension components so I removed the front sheet metal, engine, and transmission. I repainted the firewall; it's close but not a perfect match to the body. I replaced the core support (rust under the battery) and had the inner fenders blasted and powder coated. I cleaned and repainted as I went. I replaced the oil pan, oil pump, and repainted the motor. I also had the transmission resealed. I rebuilt all of the steering and suspension components using NAPA parts and rebuilt the ram assist power steering. Everything on the truck works as it is supposed to. I have saved every factory item that I have removed from the truck including the split rim wheels. If you are interested, I have a bunch of pictures from when the truck was apart. If you would like pictures of specific areas, contact me and I will get them for you. I'm selling because I've got two kids in college and the truck just sits most of the time. I'd like it to go to a good home. (704) 224-1909, ask for Jim.
