Re: Project: Tall Grass
Well I jumped aboard the Boyd's welding fuel cell train.
I'm sure glad I did. Fits awesome. I had to relocate the last crossmember , to clear the watts link mount. No biggy. Gotta grab some hardware tomorrow and get this thing permanently mounted. http://i1359.photobucket.com/albums/...psfb86c1bd.jpg |
Re: Project: Tall Grass

Re: Project: Tall Grass

The tank looks good!!!

Re: Project: Tall Grass
Thanks! I'm pretty impressed with the quality of it, so much so I order two!
Ones for the Hangover Express build in the 67-72 build area. |
Re: Project: Tall Grass
My small victory for the day, cleaned up the garage,
( gotta 83 swb to put a ride tech 4 link, bags, and accuair in) And got this sucker bolted down. Sure drill some holes and bolt it in. Not this time. I ended up welding nuts to the bottom of the top frame rail . None the less it's in , and looks rad. A trip to the bolt store and the haste shop for some fittings and ill have the fuel pump mounted tommarow! http://i1359.photobucket.com/albums/...ps31f0b577.jpg |
Re: Project: Tall Grass
I was doing so well, actually making progress,
.BUT side tracked again, Another local saw my 72 , liked how it sat , and insisted I bag his 83 short box. So I did, installed a ridetech air bar kit out back, with my own plates/ cups and slam 7's and spindles up front. And Accuiar for a solid setup. http://i1359.photobucket.com/albums/...psecfac890.jpg Fast forward One day, MY 64 hits the road!!!!!!!!!! First time in 2.5 years !! http://i1359.photobucket.com/albums/...ps06f51f8a.jpg Unfortunately it was a passenger, on its way to our newly constructed home. http://i1359.photobucket.com/albums/...ps6e10c484.jpg Where it has hijacked momma s garage until I can get started in the second garage in spring, My tools and the 64 are finally in he same spot with no distractions.... Updates, real ones to come , |
Re: Project: Tall Grass

Re: Project: Tall Grass
340-TRIO; good call. I see the new garage shares the same bench as the old one lol.

Re: Project: Tall Grass
Who's up for some scrappy cell phone pics??
I managed to get the holley Hp125 fuel pump mounted. And plumbed the line from the tank to pump. -8 in with a filter, and then -6 to the carb. Which I'm working on now. http://i1359.photobucket.com/albums/...ps93d74fc2.jpg http://i1359.photobucket.com/albums/...ps4caca30a.jpg http://i1359.photobucket.com/albums/...ps1e72b6dc.jpg I also managed to get the starter bolted in , and the rear 4 link bars dialed and torqued. Hopefully bang this fuel system out, so I can wrap up the brakes, and move onto wiring. http://i1359.photobucket.com/albums/...ps998a4734.jpg Figured I'd give this " organization " thing a try, so far so good , the list looks big but the saying goes , you eat an elephant one bite at a time.... Lol |
Re: Project: Tall Grass
Looking good Mr.
I've been thinking about writing out a "to do" list myself but can't decide between chalkboard or whiteboard. How did you choose? |

Re: Project: Tall Grass
The whiteboard/ to do list is a fantastic idea. It's a requirement in my shop. I would never remember half the crap I need to do without it. Congrats on the new digs.
|
Re: Project: Tall Grass
White board is definitely a good idea. Except I would look at all the stuff on the list that STILL needs to be done. Get discouraged and go back in the house. Lol
Trucks lookin good Matt... Your making progress. |
Re: Project: Tall Grass
Thanks, I've actually found the white board a good way to keep motivated , it's great to see the items disappear.
I'll have the fuel lines wrapped next week when I'm back from work. Then it's onto the brakes. For now how bout some throw back Thursday .... http://i1359.photobucket.com/albums/...psnldcnqg4.jpg http://i1359.photobucket.com/albums/...psd3zvnifu.jpg |
Re: Project: Tall Grass
That 68 is sweet.
