I hope to bring the truck home from the body guy (aka free storage place) this weekend. I still need to plumb brake and fuel lines. Finish wiring and fire it up. It will need a front drive shaft and the transfer case shifters installed as well. Once it running I'll work on custom bumpers and maybe a roll bar... (it sill has the small tires on the rear in these pictures)

One of the extras I picked up over the Christmas holiday was a billet dash bezel from Ringbrothers. I had covered a repop plastic dash bezel in Line-X but wasn't happy with the look. I will have the new one powder coated along with the glove box door. They will match and the texture will similar to the OE bezel in a wrinkle black powder coat. This will hold my Dakota Digital gauges.

Got it.
Cleaned out all the parts that were packed in the bed for transport. Pulled the chassis and engine harness. I want to move the ECU under the hood. I also had a local fab shop build some bolt on front shock hoops and an engine cross member... I have some NiCopp lines for fuel deliver and brake lines that I need to straighten, bend to fit and install... but its been 110* one average... probably hotter in the garage... |

I pulled engine harness and main harness as I didn't like the way everything was routed.
I remounted the fuse panel and ordered some flange mount Deutsch connectors to run the rear light harness and front light harness through the firewall separately. I also ordered NiCopp line, 3/8 for fuel and 3/16 for brake line. I plan on using factory style connectors at the fuel rail and tank by converting from the NiCopp like to OEM nylon fuel line with GM connectors. |

I eliminated the factory trim on the tailgate and tail lights. I broke down and ordered some American Billet tail light bezels. If you're not using factory trim, these are awesome...

Still working on the new AAW builder harness. I decided to rotate the fuse panel 90* and installed the flange mount Deutsch connectors. One used a factory hole and follows a crease in the firewall. I mounted the second one next to it and each connector has 8 pinouts. One block will be for the rear light harness and maybe the fuel level sender. The other block will be for the front light harness... (the under dash pic is sideways)
I also collected the NiCopp 3/8 fuel line, compression fittings and some OEM style "repair" kits to convert to factory nylon flex line at the fuel rails and fuel pump module. I want to add an inline fuel filter. I will probably use WIX filter 33193 from a 1996 Impala SS that uses the same GM quick connections. |

Figured out where I want to mount the ECM. I have a plastic tray from GM that's bolted to the core support with some spacers and temporary bolts to sit square. I'm going to need to modify the harness for length and position as its running up in the fender and not long enough to reach everything....

Installed the custom rear body harness.
Terminated at a junction box so I can tie into the rear trailer harness (blue wire.) I also have LED lights on all corners and will have my rear side markers flash with the turn signals. I also ran the harness along the body from the firewall, along the rocker box, then up through the driver side wheel well. I still need to add some clips to secure the harness along the rocker box. It's wrapped in TechFLex F6 split loom. I used a piece of flex conduit to snake the harness through the rocker box to help protect it from sharp edges and tight turns. The only thing running inside the frame will be fuel and brake hard lines... |

I had my door panels sitting on a shelf for years...
I decided to take them down, wash them and hang them on the doors with a couple bolts. They were covered in Line-X and I had the trim powder coated in red. Still need some arm rests... trying to decide on Black or try Red.... I still need to install my NuRelic power window regulators as well... Then figure out what to do with the hole where the window crank used to be... Maybe a cup holder... |

The door panel looks good. I vote to go with a black arm rest. As for the hole where the window crank was, you could;
A. Mount a dummy handle B. Mount a handle then set it up to activate a window switch mounted inside the door C. Mount a halo power momentary switch where the window crank was D. Mount a white flush mount tweeter in the window crank opening E. Plug it with a white snap plug F. Cover the hole with a center hub wheel decal |

Designed and installed a bracket for my Dakota Digital gauge module and OBDII interface. Cut out of stainless steel on a waterjet. Bolts to the bake pedal/steering column mount.

Version 2 of the Dakota Digital mount... place for 2 BIM modules (4 if you mount them back to back)

Very nice work. I'd buy version two of that Dakota mount. I am doing HDX gauges in my Cummins powered K5.
