Pulled the seat and carpet today,

Mounting the new lokar throttle pedal tommarow , and trimming the floor hump to clear the shifter .

http://i1359.photobucket.com/albums/...psyxlj8gqu.jpg

Kinda sad how gross looking the engine has gotten... Ughhhhhhh more work...

http://i1359.photobucket.com/albums/...psta8xaton.jpg

Ill get there , I just ordered a set of narrowed control arms and sway bar from Dave and Nate at Porterbuilt I don't "need" them but I'll have a lot better turning radius .I also ordered up some more goods for another customer build.

When I pulled the carpet out I pulled the door rubbers up, and found rust.... Not cool. Mon the hunt for some NOS Rockers now I guess.

I'm also on the fence about swiping the ole credit card on an engine driven compressor.
Ugly as hell but very efficient.... By the time I upgrade my alternator , wiring etc and buy electric comps its more money.... Hmmmmm

Matt, ever heard of LS motor mount shims? I need to lift the engine up about 1/4+ " so the A/C bracket will clear the rack. I have searched and some guys are using washers??? Im thinking , because it needs to be tapered, to use flat bar, 3/8 on the top, and 3/16 on the bottom??

Ideas

No worries!!

Ill call you tommarow..

As for the truck, the fuel lines are off the list!!!

Tonight I found a good spot and mounted the lokar gas pedal. And trimmed the floor hump to clear the shifter..

But I'm off to work tommarow, throttle cable, bolt the headers in for good.
And get the battery box mounted. And maybe run some cables next week .....

Re: Project: Tall Grass

So I'm back , haven't done much, having a hard time switching back off night shifts . But did get the Pedal ( NOT impressed with how loose the assembly is)
It's a brand new lokar.... I'll take it apart and see if it can be remedied.

And the throttle cable and springs are in.

So that's off the list....
More tommarow

Haha, my two oldest do the same. They don't know any different. The 68' has been in pieces since before they were born. Long before.

Re: Project: Tall Grass

Got I the arms all painted up.....

http://i1359.photobucket.com/albums/...ps7293e9bd.jpg

And installed, gaining me all kinds of room STOKED!!!!!

http://i1359.photobucket.com/albums/...ps9120f94d.jpg

And gaining me some turning ability at full drop.

http://i1359.photobucket.com/albums/...ps0607ace8.jpg

So as it sits both sides are bolted up, brakes are on, so I need to toss in a couple cotter pins. And move onto the steering, just to drill an indent into the shaft for the locking bolts and get those coated in some locktite and torqued..
