Re: Used Parts Build

Got me some new parts. 44mm wastegate from VS Racing (aka Tial knock off) and a bellow.

Got my cross over done. Need to cut my bellow in but am waiting until I get exhaust gaskets.

Cut in my wastegate. The tape is actually backwards. I need to flip it around and grind it to fit the hole (just there for picture purposes).

Added a brace to keep the bags from twisting into the center. Going to tie the rear of the triangle back to the frame.

Added in some bars. This should help support the gas tank and the rear of the bed.

I regret not tig welding in my watts link. The mount looks like crap next to the tubes. Blah...

Thanks guys.

Quickly painted the frame. I am redoing someones suspension this weekend and wanted to make sure it didn't rust since it is supposed to rain and I will have it out in the driveway.

Slow and steady! I'm trying to juggle a few side jobs, my brother's Nova, and work on my house but it will get done eventually!

Havent done too much work to the truck. Here are a few updates.
Upper shock mounts. Look a bit weird but gave me the travel and angle I wanted. Plus they are stock shocks so replacements can be found easily.

The shock mounts were purchased but everything else is done with a sawzaw and flap disc on an angle grinder.

So for the shock mount boxing bracket with the curves, you cut that with a reciprocating saw? Or did it come with a kit. I'm wondering how you get the nice curves in your pieces

I made the piece to box them. Just an angle grinder with a flap disc. It takes some practice but you can also use a finer grit to make curves without digging into the piece.

Michaels craft store sells a piece of plastic that has a bunch of curves of different radiuses that you can use to trace out the curve. I can post a picture later today if you want.
