Re: Project: Tall Grass

The headers are low buck stainless peices from DNA motoring on ebay.

they fit, well ok, the passanger side required trimming a bit of the flange off the inpection cover area of the trans, and the drivers side has one tube that is too close to the control arm shaft, but I can massage it to work, but for the price the headers are well built and id buy em again, oh ya they are for a 99-02 F body camaro/ firebird.. cant wait to get home and work on this thing......

and yes Tony, lets get them shoes on your orange buggy, its gonna be one KILLER truck!!!!

well folks, im headed back to work, with almost no progress, all I managed to do were draw up some upper bag mounts and have them lasered out. I feel bad, maybe ill go out and tack em up before I leave , then ill feel like I accomplished SOMETHING..

why the lack of progress ?? well you see Mr Phat Tony is a bad bad man.
Thanks to him , he just had to give me a killer deal on another truck.....

here she is, the plans are to get wheels that match, a proper stance ie LOW.

scuff and shoot in red satin , and beat on it till the 64 is done, then it can become a nice lil hot rod too!!!

Back from holidays.

blood pressure rising. they claim they are sending the fronts today.

claims they " might be 18x9s " instead of the 8's I ordered.

Oh well rant over for now, lets hope I cant get this thing rollin soon..

COYS WHEELS= EPIC FAIL. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM. Their customer service has left completely.

5 month wait , drive 5 hours to pick up the set of wheels.
Two wheels only.

Call fronts being sent out " that morning"

Wait. Another 134$$ in shipping pickup

THE WRONG WHEELS

Ordered two 18x8. 5 on 5 rims
Received two 18x9. 5 on 4.75 rims

Called , now he wants me to send all four back and give me a refund , WTF GET ME TWO CORRECT WHEELS AND IM HAPPY.

have been busy with my 67 shorty, dropped it, and did a disc brake conversion, drop spindles, new headers, and built new exhaust, so now im cruising it daily.

so it back to the 64, im installing the inner truss set up porterbuilt sent me, and ill be putting the engine and trans back in.

I need something to do, so I cleaned out the cab and installed the steering wheel. I think Id like to get a tilt column, I can add that to the list but im getting the cab ready for install anyway.
