I swapped my 7o drum suspension for 76 disc brakes to start, then I bolted plates to the spring pocket, and then I ended up cutting sections from both the plates and spring pocket. I cut them to were the lower control arm would not come in contact with the spring pocket. The lower control arm was then modified by welding in some pipe and plating the bottom so the air bag would sit in the control arm. Any more questions please feel free to ask.

What's the volume on those tanks? Is the bottom above the frame rail? Do you have mounting dimensions available? Where'd it come from?

I cut the mounts off of them and welded them back on where they needed to be for my application. I also slightly reshaped them.

I got them at Michigan Truck Spring. They don't come up on their website for some reason, but I found them by searching the SKU. They are made by Firestone. Here is a link:

More pics on page 4 of my build thread. If you need any more pics / info let me know.

The lower part of the bag should be bolted down so it doesn't move around. If it touches anything it will wear a hole in the bag. Plus all sharp edges should be ground smooth on surrounding metal. Just my 2 cents.

There's a stock stepside in the facilities parking lot behind my work, so I parked there today. I tried to look into the cab but started to get a nosebleed ;)
